About the Class:
Yin is a passive practice, with long-held postures that target the connective tissues: fascia, ligaments, joints and bones. Poses are typically held between 2-6 minutes with time for slow mindful transitions between; postures are done mostly seated or lying on the mat. In Yin the body is supported to allow the muscles to relax and gravity to do the work. Practice is comprised of finding your edge, becoming still, and holding for time. This is an introspective practice of mindful movement and breath. Class is designed around finding your place between effort and ease, moving with attention and intention, and listening to your body. You will work with pranayama, meditation, and yin asana.

@hairbyhollyfischer will be lopping the locks and has some fun tricks up her sleeve for the hair that remains on Roxie’s head. We can’t wait to see what she has in store for us! Hair cut will be done at 12pm on March 25, 2022 at The Old Hat Hair Shoppe 595 Pandora Ave! Come peek in the window, cheer us on, and make a donation to Wigs for Kids BC! **EDIT: Hair cut time has changed from 12pm to 11am.
Wigs for Kids BC has such a wonderful start up story and they do such amazing work by offering FREE wigs to kids in need.
”Through the fundraising efforts of generous individuals Wigs for Kids is able to make a big impact on the lives of BC’s Kids and families. Each wig costs roughly $600 - $700 to make, which is 100% donation funded. Wigs For Kids also provides funding for medications and feeding supplies that are not covered by MSP. Recently Wigs For Kids has also begun supporting more initiatives to help the community, funding a volunteer driving program that drives oncology patients and their families to hospital appointments. This helps families who rely on public transit and taxis to get to and from appointments. Wigs For Kids also supports families with travel costs, whether is out of province travel for treatments or those that need to come from outside of the lower mainland for treatment.” - wigsforkidsbc.com
